Since Ecah were very eager for me to update, I rushed this update…

My weekends was full with report and assignments. To top things up I was assign to help 3 students from MRSM Taiping in their project about alarm sensor (using motion detection)  and will trigger alarm and sms will be sent to the owner’s phone as an alert.

The problem was they did not have any knowledge about how to implement the device and the hardware as well, the best part was they need to finish it by Sunday and we only have 3 days to do so….

Since we can’t get PIR sensor (motion detector ) and GSM modem (to send sms)  I had to pre-program the device so when the get the device they will only need to just plug and play. (except for the GSM modem part was done by En Azwan don’t know the protocol ).

And the reason I do all of this even though I have no time, is because this is a part of me…. I love to invent stuff….

If you are a reader of Nikillas’s blog aka Sally (if not check it out…) , he has posted about me and my leg… and as requested by Ecah, she wanted to know the condition of my leg… so here you go….

This is the 1st stage… this time I was still waking with the “tongkat”

2nd stage without the “tongkat” but.. still in major pain… when walking and moving around

3rd stage… I can walk but and play basketball even though my ankle are still swollen  ( i walk lob sided )

My ankle are not fully recover yet, and the best part everybody that i see ask me to go for this traditional massage ( even that i don’t know…..) sorry guys I don’t want to suffer through out the treatment process. What ever it is… without the traditional massage I’m still healing fast enough image only after a few days I started playing basketball … So what do you think Dr Cryst

Result for Imagine Cup compition is out… at last… and … WE LOST!!! HAHAHAHAHA… DAMMIT…. well what to do…. you can’t have everything in the world….

We think the reason that we lost is because  of:

• Time constraint
• We had to start from zero (we had no knowledge using the E-BOX, PSoC , C#, and PIC)
• In terms of proposal it’s not professional enough both the report and the video  ( after comments from others and comparing it with other Imagine Cup competitor ,even though  we thought theirs were good ,yet still did not make it to the finals)
• Inexperience

What ever it is at now I know what PIC is and what to do with it… if only i have the money to play around with it…….

Now the next part of the Industrial training…. Even though we lost but at least we got a lot of support from  CEDEC but it was though for me to break the news to Ian from Microsoft Malaysia and Dr Othman. Ian was disappointed but we gave us encouragement. While Dr Othman brought us for breakfast to cheer us up hehehehe. Now we are just countinuing the project and trying to propose to other company

And the outcome of our product……

Why did we do all this? For about a month of sleepless night and without a knowledge on how to start this project… (luckily we had a brilliant mentor and a lot of support)

We entered a competition by Microsoft called Imagine Cup… and we came up with this system….  we managed to proceed to round 2 now…. the final round…. at exactly 8.00 am Malaysia time… on the 1st of June we will know our fate… Will we be going to the finals or not…. Wish us luck… ( If we don’t make it… well… we are dead….)

Next I progress trying to implement temperature sensor ( this part I used my new baby… from microchip made my life so much easier)
